2025 Super Bowl Commercial Ratings

Football fan or not, almost everyone looks forward to the commercials during the Super Bowl. Businesses go all out hiring celebrities, filming crazy scenes and adding bits of sneaky humor. While many think the special Super Bowl commercials’ charm has started to fade, companies still gave a strong showing this year.

My favorite commercial was Ray-Ban’s “Hey Meta, Who Eats Art?” I loved how they subtly criticized art galleries and their crazily priced items. Chris Hemsworth’s naivety cracked me up when he ate a $6.2 million banana duct-taped to a wall inside of Kris Jenner’s gallery. Next on my list was Budweiser’s “First Delivery” commercial. It was heartwarming to watch a young horse push a forgotten keg all the way towards the bar in town. Another great ad was Pfizer’s “Knock Out.” It delivered a powerful message that inspired cancer awareness. The little boy with cancer running through the streets with boxing gloves gave everyone spirits of optimism and a Rocky Balboa vibe, making us believe we can overcome any challenge. My fourth favorite was Bud Light’s, “Big Men on Cul-De-Sac,” featuring comedy star Shane Gillis, Super Bowl champ Peyton Manning and singer Post Malone. Their attitudes of being the BMOC (Big Man on Campus) gave everyone a laugh including Manning’s stereotypical dad attire and the unexpected party atmosphere. I wasn’t sure about Mountain Dew’s “Kiss from a Lime.” While it starts out normal, I was completely thrown off by the CGI of the Singer Seal as a seal performing a version of “Kiss from a Rose.” Since it was so different, it made it one of the better 2025 Super Bowl commercials. I didn’t like Doritos showing this year with their “Abduction” commercial. It was boring, unoriginal and lacked that wild Doritos effect. Throughout the past, they have been notorious for their hilarious ads. My all-time favorite Doritos commercial is “Finger Licker.” This ad’s curveball threw everyone into hysterical laughter when a man started licking people’s nacho cheese fingers clean.
